Christmas and New Year

So, once again it was Christmas and New Year.

Christmas day itself was lovely; mum and I made a nice turkey dinner - well, more like put a pre-made "turkey dinner for two" in the oven and prepared some veg. etc.!

It was all lovely, then bam! The bloody line (central venous catheter) leaks!

This problem had occurred in Aug., and at that time I was kept in hospital over-night then was sent to the other hospital to have it fixed. Then, both the teams were there, but this time they were not. So, frustrating time in A&E on boxing day, while the staff tried to figure out what to do with me, then the next two days in hospital... Managed to see an amazing sun-rise one day! Finally, on the 29th, the teams returned; amazingly, I got sent across and seen to on that day! At that point, I was not sure whether the line would be replaced or just repaired - thankfully, it was just repaired, and I was sent home - once the doc. at the local hospital was confident that the specialists were OK with that! Poor mum had to put up with all that!

I'm glad I was out before New Year; it was nice to spend it with mum, and not be in hospital!

We then enjoyed a nice trip to London, before mum returned home...

Covent Garden, where a great, energetic string quintet was playing!
